VPP Excellence in Safety Certificate Program
UAB Online offers a unique first of its kind, totally online Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) best practices certificate program, endorsed by the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA). This certificate program is strategically aligned with VPPPA’s mission for World-Class Safety Excellence and will provide students with best practices for identifying leading indicators with hazard analysis and risk assessment techniques. Students will learn the leadership skills needed to guide a safety culture change by example or to “lead from behind” or to manage from the middle. Upon completion of this certificate program, students may expect to be fully prepared to work through an OSHA VPP process, using best practices to achieve or maintain VPP status at their facility.
